What’s new in v2.7.3
LabelForge V2.7.3: peak performance and better compatibility.
Universal PDF & Adobe Illustrator (.ai) ingestion
- A new, ultra-robust “brute-force” analysis engine converts more PDF and Illustrator (.ai) files into native LabelForge sessions. Complex clipping paths, nested masks, or non-standard vector structures are decoded reliably so you can start working instantly.
Advanced UV projection (Frustum engine)
- Master conical shapes: Frustum projection unlocks flawless UV wrapping on conical or flared objects (cups, cosmetics jars, tapered bottles) with mathematical precision.
Fast workflow in the Mask Designer
- Production hotkeys: press Ctrl + G to create a new mask group, or Shift + Ctrl + G to add selected layers to an existing group.
Full support for emissive textures
- Make your designs glow: the “Use Label Artwork” option is fully supported on the Emission channel—drive glowing parts (screens, LEDs, phosphorescent inks) from your graphics layers in Shader Studio.
Universal and automatic integration in your render engines
- Blender (Cycles/Eevee): native connection to Principled BSDF Emission inputs.
- Cinema 4D (Redshift): instant routing to the Redshift Standard Material.
- Houdini (Karma & Redshift): advanced MaterialX support in Solaris, with smart automated translation to Redshift for high-end rendering.
Enhanced export safety and stability
- The
.jsonrecipe export pipeline is consolidated—complex material structures transfer intact to your 3D application for reliable studio production.
Everything from v2.7.1—still included
- Responsive project open, visible AI/PDF load progress, and full Shader Studio session restore (metals, varnishes, LEDs, layer order, projection mode, Box Unwrap zones).
- 18 Shader Studio presets, visual gallery, studio-grade finishes (sheen, thin film, LED).
- Richer Universal Export to Blender, Houdini, and Cinema 4D.
- Windows installer with optional DCC plugin setup, Gumroad licensing, and high-res exports per plan.
- Documentation (v2.7): manual (PDF) · user manual (HTML).
